2023 WMASS HKY Spring Club Program (U10, U12, U14, U16 & U19)
*All training sessions will be on UMASS Field Hockey’s Gladchuk Sports Complex water-based AstroTurf*
IMPORTANT: Due to NCAA rules, all WMASS HKY club players must reside within a 50-mile “as the crow flies” radius of the University of Massachusetts or WMASS HKY must be the closest available training opportunity for the athlete should they reside outside the 50-mile radius.
Sunday Training Sessions
3:00-4:00pm – U10
3:00-4:30pm – U12 & U14
4:30-6:00pm – U16 & U19
USA Field Hockey’s Age Group Explanation: An athlete’s age on December 31 of that given year determines what age group the athlete will be in for the following year. For example, if the athlete is 15 years old on December 31 and turns 16 on January 1 they remain in the U-16 division. So for WMASS HKY, whatever age you were this past December 31st, that is the age group you will play in this year.

Sunday, April 16: Smith College 7v7 (U12, U14, U16, U19- we have 1 team entered in each age group)- U10 practice TBD
Sunday, April 23: No Practice- UMASS Game @UNH (may try to have practice Saturday, April 22)
Sunday, April 30: UMASS Spring U16 & U19 7v7 Play Day (afternoon)- U10, U12, U14 practices to follow (may be later than regular time)

Sunday, May 28: NO PRACTICE (MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND)
Saturday/Sunday, June 3-4: U16 Regional Club Championship @Seacoast (NH)- Extra Fee & Tryouts if necessary
Sunday, Monday, June 11-12: U19 Regional Club Championship @Brown University (RI)- We are on the Waitlist- Extra fee & tryouts if necessary
We are working on hosting another Play Day or 2 at UMASS for all teams. We are also looking to add a local play day or 2.
Our goal is to have 3 playdays for each team (U10s- we have to see what is out there for that age group- there has not been much in the past)
SPRING CLUB FEES
U10: $175
U12, U14, U16, U19: $375
*Includes all practices, coaching, and 2-3 play days (U10 TBD based on availability)*
Spring Uniforms
We will continue with the WMASS HKY reversible jerseys we used this 2023 indoor season with black shorts, black socks and white socks.
If you need to order a new reversible jersey, please mark that size option on the registration form and either:
-add $33 to your payment if you are paying by check
-select the PayPal option that includes a reversible jersey if you want to pay online
All participants must be current members of USA Field Hockey for insurance purposes
U12 membership (11 and under): $25
U19 membership (ages 12-18): $60
