Smith College Spring Play Day
Sunday, April 12th
Following are the details for the upcoming indoor play days at Smith College. All players should arrive 30 minutes before their first game (see schedule below). Please make sure to check the rosters below carefully to know when you are playing.
REQUIRED WAIVER FORM: All players must bring a signed athletic waiver form with them. Smith College Athletics WAIVER
WHAT TO WEAR: Black/white WMASS reversible jersey, black shorts and a pair of black socks and a pair of white socks. Mouthguards and shinguards are required. Make sure to bring a water bottle.
WHERE TO PARK: Tournament is located on the Outdoor Turf Field (D/E 2). Please park in Lot AA Grid E2/F2, Lot X Grid E3, Lot Y Grid E3, or BB Grid F2. If you put in “Smith College Athletic Fields, Northampton, MA) in your phone map app, it should get you right to that area.
Fields: 2 fields in play all day, maximum use of space for field size.
● Field #1 – Closest to field entrance gates and Field House (will be kept open for warm-ups)
● Field #2 – Center Field
● Field #3 – Closest to Scoreboard
● Sneakers or Turf Shoes only (No Cleats)
Rules: Hockey rules are in play: Including:
● 25 Min Games, No time outs.
● The team listed first will be in their DARK Color, Socks and Top.
● The team listed first will start with the ball.
● Substitutions from half field.
● 7 Total players: 6 Field, 1 GK or 6 Field players if NO Keeper (please ask to borrow one)
● No GK – an additional Field Player can be added to hit max of 7 players
Corners:
● FOR CLARITY: Includes 5 players: 1 GK and 4 Field Players
● Non DPC members of team will need to go to the 50 of field
Scoring:
WIN = 3 points
TIE = 1 point
LOSS = 0 points
Placement will be decided by:
1. Total points
2. Head to Head
3. Goals For (how many you scored)
4. Goals Against (how many against you – lower total places higher)
