Indoor Play Day @Smith College
Sunday, April 16th
Following are the details for the upcoming indoor play days at Smith College. All players should arrive 30 minutes before their first game (see schedule below). Please make sure to check the rosters below carefully to know which day you are playing.
REQUIRED WAIVER FORM: All players must bring a signed athletic waiver form with them. Smith College Athletics WAIVER
WHAT TO WEAR: Black/white WMASS reversible jersey, black shorts and a pair of black socks and a pair of white socks. Mouthguards and shinguards are required. Make sure to bring a water bottle.
WHERE TO PARK: Tournament is located in the Indoor Tennis and Track Facility. Please park in Lot X Grid E3 or Z Grid F3/4 on the map. You can also park in Lot AA Grid E2/F2. Or BB Grid F2. If you put in “Smith College Athletic Fields, Northampton, MA) in your phone map app, it should get you right to that area.
Rules: Indoor rules are in play, including:
– 25 Min Games, No time outs. Each team will play five 25 min games.
– Team listed first will be in their DARK Color, Socks and Top. Team listed
first will start with the ball.
– Rolling substitutions from half field. Exception Field #2 with substitutions
from the end line.
– 6 Players (5 Field, 1 GK) or 6 Field players if NO Keeper (please ask to
borrow one)
– D corners: FOR CLARITY: Can include 6 players : 1 GK in cage and up to 5
Field players outside of cage on end line opposite the insertion.
if… no GK team can have all 6 Field players back (if they play with 6).
Players will be located outside of cage on end line opposite the insertion.
if… team gives GK privileges to one field player that player can be inside
cage.
Scoring:
WIN = 3 points
TIE = 1 point
LOSS = 0 points
Placement will be decided by:
1. Total points
2. Head to Head
3. Goals For (how many you scored)
4. Goals Against (how many against you – lower total places higher)
